The idea of organizing a bikepacking meeting, which would take place in \u0160umava or at least within its reach, has been in my mind for a long time. Originally, I wanted to go there for the spring meeting, but before I could make up my mind, Dag had already suggested this possibility. I thought of one weekend in August as the date, where I was still free. Dag also liked it, so all I had to do was to choose a suitable place. There were quite a lot of places on offer - and I would like to thank Peter for his help in choosing the final location, which finally fell on an inconspicuous hill with the defunct All Saints Chapel on the top in the vicinity of the village of Rab\u00ed. The view from the top promised all participants romantic views of the countryside and towards Rab\u00ed not only a view of the village, but also of the notorious castle ruins of the same name.<\/div>

Since I am not a fast rider and I often take photos along the way, I spread the 148 km long mtb route over two days so that it would lead as long as possible through the Brdy mountains. I had planned to ride the whole western part of Brdy, better known as H\u0159ebeny, and then continue through central Brdy (where I was going to spend the night) to southern Brdy, where I would descend into the open countryside and continue on to Hora\u017e\u010fovice.<\/p>\n

I left home on Friday around ten o’clock and drove down through the Pet\u0159\u00edn orchards to the Vltava River, along which I continued to Radot\u00edn, where I then drove around the Berounka River through \u010cerno\u0161ice to V\u0161enory. It was pleasantly cool along the water, so I didn’t notice the rising temperatures and the unpleasant stuffiness. I became aware of them the moment I decided not to take the road from V\u0161enory to \u010cernolice, but instead to take a short cut straight along the yellow road to connect back to the route already on the ridges.<\/p>\n

I thoroughly enjoyed the shortcut in the afternoon mugginess before the storm. I was bitten by all the insect inhabitants of the forest, I carried my bike over fallen trees several times and felt like someone who had just come out of a thermal bath. Fortunately, just before the ridge, I came across a colony of blackberry bushes just off the side of the trail, undiscovered by hikers, which I plundered. I hadn’t eaten such good blackberries in a long time. I behaved like an animal and poured handfuls of the sweet berries into my mouth. The intrusive insects that had accompanied me throughout the climb disappeared like a cloud in the blackberries. Somewhere I must note that it is best to go to the blackberries in mid-August.<\/p>\n

But by then I am finally on the Brdy ridge and I continue my own route away from the famous red tourist route, but still more or less parallel to it. Below Klondajk, I briefly take it to get water from the B\u00edl\u00fd k\u00e1men well. Below Sto\u017eec I return to my own route and after some time I descend down the Bukovsk\u00e1 path\u00a0 almost to the village of Hlubo\u0161. This route was once shown to me by another bikepacker and also a great friend Olda. It is a great wide gravel road. Find it sometime and ride it. From the village of Hlubo\u0161 I descend through meadows to the Litavka valley. But before I finally dropped down into the valley, I stopped to get my bearings. To the south-west I can see the peak of T\u0159emo\u0161n\u00e1, with the massive wall of the rising hills of the central Brda Mountains on the horizon in front of me. I know I have to head right in between, there in the glow of the late afternoon sun.<\/p>\n

I meet an open Coop in Drahlin and buy provisions for the night and the next day. Originally I wanted to shop in Obecnice, the last village before the overnight stay, but my own experience told me to take the opportunity now. And I did the right thing. Because when I arrived in Obecnica, the local Coop was already closed. From Obecnice I still had a six-kilometre drive to the Pilsk\u00e1 reservoir, which was very tiring for me. I even yawned a few times on the uphill, because the stuffiness reached its maximum and this climb is not exactly beneficial for the psyche. It’s a long, flat, constantly rising asphalt road, where you can’t see the end. When you finally think it’s going to break, you’re just looking at another straight and endless climb. And so it went on and on, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I swore a lot and wanted to throw my bike into a ditch several times.<\/p>\n

Eventually the climb ended and I just descended to the Pilsk\u00e1 stud\u00e1nka. Here I replenished the water I drank on the way out. The Pilsk\u00e1 stud\u00e1nka is one of several that are regularly checked in Brdy and have excellent water. It is completely covered and you will find a nice bench by it. It’s another place I definitely recommend if you’re thirsty.<\/p>\n

I finally arrived at the overnight spot sometime after 8 pm and was caught in a storm within minutes. I had a relaxing, but believe me challenging, 75 km in my legs. I set up the tarp first and just as I hung up the hammock, the rain started. Little did I know it wouldn’t stop. Already in the rain, I ran to a nearby creek where I laid down and washed myself. Then I made myself so comfortable under the tarp that I could survive a flood in peace.<\/p>\n

I woke up in the night to go pee and the rain was still drumming on the tarp. When I shined my headlamp into the treetops, all I could see were strings of water falling from the sky. During the night, the rain picked up in intensity to the point where the water, bouncing off the tree trunks I was hanging onto, began to fly under my tarp with the impact of machine gun fire. Eventually, it forced me to pull the “doors” in the fronts of the tarps I normally use, especially in the winter. I shined the light on the ground and determined that there was no swimming for the time being.<\/p>\n

I woke up at 5:30 this morning and the tarp was still singing under the onslaught of rain. There was one change, though. All the depressions between the roots of the surrounding trees were filled with water, gradually joining together to form a small lakescape. Of greater concern to me, however, was the creek. I take off all my night clothes and go to the creek to look… and find that its bed is now full of roaring, murky water. As I brush my teeth by it, I can hear the rumbling crashes as rocks hit each other under the stream’s surface. Such was the power of the stream now. As another stump passed by, I realized I definitely wasn’t going to climb into the creek today. That morning I ran around the campsite naked, throwing everything I had left “out” that evening under the tarp. If anyone had been watching me, they would have probably died laughing.<\/p>\n

It’s eight in the morning and I have no way of knowing if it will ever stop raining because I’m in a place that doesn’t have cell phone coverage. So I thought I’d give it a little more time. By ten o’clock, when I was getting tired of sitting under the tarp, I gave up waiting and slowly started packing. Eventually, all that’s left is the tarp, which I fold up around noon, when the creek finally pours out of the channel and begins to advance toward the campsite.<\/p>\n

Resigned to riding all day in the rain, I set off towards Nepomuk, where I stop, slightly chilled, at the local famous Brdy Nepal cycling club kiosk. No cyclist should miss this place. Inside you can warm up by the stove and maybe a good tea, as I did. After thawing out, I set off towards Tesl\u00edny and then on to Chyn\u00edn, where I want to finally leave Brdy and continue through the flatter landscape to Hora\u017e\u010fovice. Again I am completely durch, but I don’t care anymore. The rain is letting up a bit and something big is wiggling in the puddle on the road in front of me. As I get closer, a buzzard rises from the puddle and we fly side by side for a while. There’s about 40 centimetres between us. We glide together like this for a good 15 meters, then the buzzard stops having fun and moves off into the woods, where it accompanies me for a while among the trees.<\/p>\n

Looking at my watch a few kilometres further on, I realise that the timing of today doesn’t look good at all. The planned route doesn’t show me the finish line until sometime around 9pm, maybe less if I just stomp the pedals and don’t notice the world around me. Then, as I push my bike uphill on an impassable road full of roots somewhere between Gatsemanka and Mount Nad Marasek, Dag calls me and tells me that he and Honza are packing up and not to even think of going any further, that the temperature is dropping and once I leave the woods and into the open countryside, it will be headwind and feel cold. This doesn’t exactly make me feel better… Only later I learn that Dag has gotten very cold and his thermoregulation has completely broken down.<\/p>\n

Eventually I decide to turn the bike back home. At that point I had some 59 kilometers to go to the meeting point. It was a bummer and I was sorry I didn’t make it, but I eventually realized that what Bob Bikolka later wrote on Twitter, “Safety first, I don’t break it if I can’t either…” was the most important thing.<\/p>\n

After a while, I get to the bike path through the forest and then in the fog and rain I pass by the grill bar M\u00ed\u0161ov (stop here, another excellent place if you are hungry on the road), where I get astonished looks from bikers loading their electric bikes into cars. I continue along the trail, still straight ahead, to the Padr\u0165 Ponds, both of which I pass on my left, and then pass through the defunct villages of Padr\u0165 and Zadn\u00ed Zab\u011bhl\u00e1. There are no forests in this stretch of what is now also a former military firing range, so I enjoy the uninterrupted, slightly misty views of the countryside and feel that autumn is quite close. Below the Ko\u010dka hill I enter the forest again and through the Ve Vr\u0161i saddle I descend by serpentines to the T\u0159irubeck\u00e1 meadow. During the descent to the meadow I meet a lone bikepacker on gravel and after a while another on mtb. Then I continue up a steep climb along the military area and the Reserve stream, where I meet the rest of this scattered bikepacking group. Where are they all going at this time of the year?<\/p>\n

From the end of the Reserve military area I turn east and make another very exhausting almost four-kilometre climb along the well-known Alliance road to the Dlouh\u00fd K\u00e1men saddle. From the saddle, I continue down the Alliance all the way to its other end at the edge of the Jince Garrison Training Area. The Alliance road is built in the Alpine style, it is less than eight kilometres long and was built by Jeron\u00fdm Colloredo-Mansfeld to connect their two estates in Dob\u0159\u00ed\u0161 and Zbiroh, which were in the way of the Brda ridge with the peaks of Tok and Houp\u00e1k. Interestingly, some parts of this road are still in their original state, so you can also enjoy driving on the original cobblestones with nice views, which I lost due to rain and fog.<\/p>\n

At this point I don’t stay anywhere too much and choose the fastest possible way to Jincy, where the arranged ride is waiting for me. I have another ridiculous 53 km in my legs.<\/p>\n

Z domova jsem vyrazil v\u00a0p\u00e1tek okolo des\u00e1t\u00e9 hodiny a Pet\u0159\u00ednsk\u00fdmi sady jsem sjel k\u00a0Vltav\u011b, pod\u00e9l kter\u00e9 jsem pokra\u010doval do Radot\u00edna, kde jsem pak okolo Berounky projel \u010cerno\u0161icemi a\u017e do V\u0161enor. Pod\u00e9l vody byl p\u0159\u00edjemn\u00fd chlad, proto jsem zat\u00edm moc nevn\u00edmal stoupaj\u00edc\u00ed teploty a nep\u0159\u00edjemn\u00e9 dusno. Uv\u011bdomil jsem si je ve chv\u00edli, kdy jsem se rozhodl, \u017ee to z\u00a0V\u0161enor nevezmu po silnici do \u010cernolic, ale naopak si to trochu zkr\u00e1t\u00edm rovnou po \u017elut\u00e9, aby se napojil zase zp\u011bt na trasu u\u017e na h\u0159ebenech.<\/p>

Zkratku jsem si v\u00a0tom odpoledn\u00edm dusnu p\u0159ed bou\u0159kou n\u00e1ramn\u011b u\u017eil. Po\u0161t\u00edpali m\u011b snad v\u0161ichni hmyz\u00ed obyvatel\u00e9 lesa, n\u011bkolikr\u00e1t jsem p\u0159en\u00e1\u0161el kolo p\u0159es popadan\u00e9 stromy a p\u0159ipadal si jak n\u011bkdo, kdo zrovna vylezl z\u00a0term\u00e1ln\u00edch l\u00e1zn\u00ed. Na\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed t\u011bsn\u011b p\u0159ed h\u0159ebenem jsem stranou cesty narazil na turisty dosud neobjevenou kolonii ostru\u017ein, kterou jsem vyplenil. Tak dobr\u00e9 ostru\u017einy jsem dlouho nejedl. Choval jsem se jak zv\u00ed\u0159e a pln\u00fdmi hrstmi do sebe sypal sladk\u00e9 plody. Dot\u011brn\u00fd hmyz, kter\u00fd m\u011b po cel\u00fd v\u00fdstup prov\u00e1zel jako mrak zmizel v ostru\u017ein\u00ed. N\u011bkde si mus\u00edm poznamenat, \u017ee na ostru\u017einy je nejlep\u0161\u00ed j\u00edt v p\u016flce srpna.<\/p>

To u\u017e jsem ale kone\u010dn\u011b na brdsk\u00fdch h\u0159ebenech a pokra\u010duji vlastn\u00ed trasou stranou profl\u00e1knut\u00e9 \u010derven\u00e9 turistick\u00e9, ale st\u00e1le v\u00edcem\u00e9n\u011b rovnob\u011b\u017en\u011b s n\u00ed. Pod Klondajkem na ni ale na chvilku najedu, abych dobral vodu ze stud\u00e1nky B\u00edl\u00fd k\u00e1men. Pod Sto\u017ecem u\u017e se zase vrac\u00edm na vlastn\u00ed trasu a po n\u011bjak\u00e9 dob\u011b sj\u00ed\u017ed\u00edm Bukovskou cestou t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 a\u017e do vesni\u010dky Hlubo\u0161. Tuto cestu mi kdysi uk\u00e1zal jin\u00fd bikepacker a z\u00e1rove\u0148 i velk\u00fd kamar\u00e1d Olda. Je to par\u00e1dn\u00ed \u0161irok\u00e1 \u0161otolinov\u00e1 cesta. N\u011bkdy si ji najd\u011bte a proje\u010fte. Od vesni\u010dky Hlubo\u0161 kles\u00e1m po louk\u00e1ch do \u00fadol\u00ed Litavky. Ne\u017e jsem v\u0161ak definitivn\u011b spadl dol\u016f do \u00fadol\u00ed, je\u0161t\u011b jsem zastavil, abych se zorientoval. Na jihoz\u00e1pad\u011b vid\u00edm vrchol T\u0159emo\u0161n\u00e9, p\u0159ed sebou na horizontu mohutnou st\u011bnu zvedaj\u00edc\u00edch se vrch\u016f st\u0159edn\u00edch Brd. V\u00edm, \u017ee mus\u00edm zam\u00ed\u0159it p\u0159esn\u011b mezi, tam do t\u00e9 z\u00e1\u0159e pozdn\u00edho odpoledn\u00edho slunce.<\/p>

V Drahl\u00edn\u011b potk\u00e1v\u00e1m otev\u0159en\u00fd Coop a nakupuji proviant na noc a dal\u0161\u00ed den. P\u016fvodn\u011b jsem cht\u011bl nakoupit a\u017e v Obecnici, posledn\u00ed obci p\u0159ed noclehem, ale vlastn\u00ed zku\u0161enost \u0159\u00edkala, abych vyu\u017eil p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti hned. A dob\u0159e jsem ud\u011blal. Kdy\u017e jsem toti\u017e do Obecnice p\u0159ijel, m\u011bl zdej\u0161\u00ed Coop u\u017e zav\u0159eno. Z Obecnice m\u011b je\u0161t\u011b \u010dekal \u0161est kilometr\u016f dlouh\u00fd v\u00fdjezd k n\u00e1dr\u017ei Pilsk\u00e1, kter\u00fd byl pro m\u011b velmi unavuj\u00edc\u00ed. Dokonce jsem si do kopce n\u011bkolikr\u00e1t z\u00edvnul, proto\u017ee dusno dos\u00e1hlo sv\u00e9ho maxima a v\u016fbec na psychiku zrovna tenhle stoup\u00e1k nep\u016fsob\u00ed pr\u00e1v\u011b blahod\u00e1rn\u011b. Je to dlouh\u00e1, rovn\u00e1, neust\u00e1le se zvedaj\u00edc\u00ed asfaltka, u kter\u00e9 nejde dohl\u00e9dnout konec. Kdy\u017e u\u017e si kone\u010dn\u011b mysl\u00edte, \u017ee se to zlom\u00ed, \u010dek\u00e1 v\u00e1s jen pohled na dal\u0161\u00ed rovn\u00e9 a nekone\u010dn\u00e9 stoup\u00e1n\u00ed. A tak to \u0161lo d\u00e1l a d\u00e1l a nestyd\u00edm se p\u0159iznat, \u017ee jsem si tu p\u011bkn\u011b zanad\u00e1val a n\u011bkolikr\u00e1t cht\u011bl zahodit kolo do \u0161karpy.<\/p>

Nakonec ale stoup\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159eci jen skon\u010dilo a j\u00e1 u\u017e pak jen sjel k Pilsk\u00e9 stud\u00e1nce. Zde jsem dobral znovu vodu, kterou jsem vypil p\u0159i v\u00fdjezdu. Pilsk\u00e1 stud\u00e1nka je jedna z\u00a0n\u011bkolika, kter\u00e1 je v\u00a0Brdech pravideln\u011b kontrolov\u00e1na a m\u00e1 vynikaj\u00edc\u00ed vodu. Je kompletn\u011b zast\u0159e\u0161ena a najdete u n\u00ed i p\u011bknou lavi\u010dku. Je to dal\u0161\u00ed m\u00edsto, kter\u00e9 ur\u010dit\u011b doporu\u010duji, pokud budete \u017e\u00edzniv\u00ed.<\/p>

Na m\u00edsto p\u0159esp\u00e1n\u00ed jsem nakonec dorazil n\u011bkdy lehce po osm\u00e9 hodin\u011b ve\u010dern\u00ed a na m\u00edst\u011b m\u011b do n\u011bkolika minut dohnala bou\u0159ka. V\u00a0noh\u00e1ch jsem m\u011bl pohodov\u00fdch, ale v\u011b\u0159te, \u017ee n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00fdch, 75 km. Jako prvn\u00ed jsem postavil tarp a jen co jsem zav\u011bsil hamaku, spustil se d\u00e9\u0161\u0165. To jsem je\u0161t\u011b netu\u0161il, \u017ee u\u017e neskon\u010d\u00ed. U\u017e v\u00a0de\u0161ti jsem odb\u011bhl k\u00a0bl\u00edzk\u00e9mu potoku, do kter\u00e9ho jsem si lehl a umyl se. Pod tarpem jsem si pak vytvo\u0159il dokonal\u00fd komfort, \u017ee bych tu mohl v\u00a0klidu p\u0159e\u017e\u00edt snad i povode\u0148.<\/p>

V\u00a0noci jsem se probudil, abych se \u0161el vy\u010d\u016frat, a d\u00e9\u0161\u0165 st\u00e1le bubnoval do tarpu. Kdy\u017e jsem si posv\u00edtil \u010delovkou do korun strom\u016f, vid\u011bl jsem jen \u0161\u0148\u016fry vody padaj\u00edc\u00ed z\u00a0nebe. V\u00a0noci nabral d\u00e9\u0161\u0165 na s\u00edle tak, \u017ee mi za\u010dala voda odra\u017een\u00e1 od kmen\u016f strom\u016f, na kter\u00fdch jsem visel, l\u00e9tat pod tarp s\u00a0razanc\u00ed kulometn\u00e9 palby. Nakonec m\u011b to donutilo zat\u00e1hnout i \u201edve\u0159e\u201c v\u00a0\u010delech tarp\u016f, kter\u00e9 norm\u00e1ln\u011b pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1m hlavn\u011b v\u00a0zim\u011b. Posv\u00edtil jsem si na zem a konstatoval, \u017ee zat\u00edm se plavat nebude.<\/p>

R\u00e1no jsem se vzbudil v\u00a0p\u016fl \u0161est\u00e9 a tarp st\u00e1le zp\u00edval pod n\u00e1porem de\u0161t\u011b. Jedna zm\u011bna ale p\u0159eci jen nastala. V\u0161echny prohlubn\u011b mezi ko\u0159eny okoln\u00edch strom\u016f byly vypln\u011bn\u00e9 vodou, postupn\u011b se spojovaly a vytv\u00e1\u0159ely malou jezern\u00ed krajinu. V\u011bt\u0161\u00ed starost mi ale d\u011blal potok. Sundal jsem ze sebe ve\u0161ker\u00e9 no\u010dn\u00ed oble\u010den\u00ed a jdu se pod\u00edvat k\u00a0pot\u016f\u010dku\u2026 a zji\u0161\u0165uji, \u017ee je jeho koryto nyn\u00ed pln\u00e9 hu\u010d\u00edc\u00ed, zakalen\u00e9 vody. Kdy\u017e si u n\u011bj \u010dist\u00edm zuby, sly\u0161\u00edm duniv\u00e9 r\u00e1ny, jak do sebe pod jeho hladinou nar\u00e1\u017eej\u00ed kameny valen\u00e9 proudem. Takovou s\u00edlu te\u010f potok m\u011bl. Kdy\u017e okolo projel je\u0161t\u011b pa\u0159ez, pochopil jsem, \u017ee do potoka dnes ur\u010dit\u011b nepolezu. Toho r\u00e1na jsem po t\u00e1bo\u0159i\u0161ti b\u011bhal nahat\u00fd a h\u00e1zel pod tarp v\u0161e, co jsem ve\u010der zapomn\u011bl \u201evenku\u201c. Pokud by m\u011b u toho n\u011bkdo pozoroval, asi by um\u0159el sm\u00edchy.<\/p>

Je osm hodin r\u00e1no a nem\u00e1m jak zjistit, jestli n\u011bkdy p\u0159estane pr\u0161et, proto\u017ee jsem zrovna v\u00a0m\u00edst\u011b, kter\u00e9 nen\u00ed pokryto mobiln\u00edm sign\u00e1lem. Tak si \u0159\u00edk\u00e1m, \u017ee tomu d\u00e1m je\u0161t\u011b trochu \u010dasu. V\u00a0deset, kdy u\u017e m\u011b sezen\u00ed pod tarpem p\u0159est\u00e1valo bavit, jsem se na \u010dek\u00e1n\u00ed vyka\u0161lal a za\u010dal jsem pomalu balit. Nakonec u\u017e zb\u00fdv\u00e1 jen tarp, kter\u00fd skl\u00e1d\u00e1m zhruba p\u0159ed polednem, kdy se potok definitivn\u011b vyl\u00e9v\u00e1 z koryta a za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 postupovat sm\u011brem k\u00a0t\u00e1bo\u0159i\u0161ti.<\/p>

Sm\u00ed\u0159en s t\u00edm, \u017ee pojedu cel\u00fd den v de\u0161ti, vyr\u00e1\u017e\u00edm sm\u011brem na Nepomuk, kde se lehce prochladl\u00fd zastavuji v m\u00edstn\u00edm vyhl\u00e1\u0161en\u00e9m kiosku cykloklubu Brdy Nep\u00e1l<\/a>. Toto m\u00edsto by nem\u011bl rozhodn\u011b \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd cyklista minout. Uvnit\u0159 se m\u016f\u017eete oh\u0159\u00e1t u kamen a t\u0159eba u dobr\u00e9ho \u010daje, jako jsem to ud\u011blal i j\u00e1. Po rozmrznut\u00ed vyr\u00e1\u017e\u00edm sm\u011brem na Tesl\u00edny a pak d\u00e1l na Chyn\u00edn, kde chci Brdy kone\u010dn\u011b opustit a pokra\u010dovat rovinat\u011bj\u0161\u00ed krajinou na Hora\u017e\u010fovice. Op\u011bt jsem komplet durch, ale je mi to u\u017e jedno. D\u00e9\u0161\u0165 trochu ust\u00e1v\u00e1 a p\u0159ede mnou na cest\u011b se v\u00a0kalu\u017ei cosi velk\u00e9ho vrt\u00ed. Kdy\u017e p\u0159ijedu bl\u00ed\u017e, zvedne se z\u00a0kalu\u017ee k\u00e1n\u011b a chvilku let\u00edme vedle sebe. Je mezi n\u00e1mi n\u011bjak\u00fdch 40 centimetr\u016f. O p\u00e1r kilometr\u016f d\u00e1l mi p\u0159i pohledu na hodinky doch\u00e1z\u00ed, \u017ee to s\u00a0dne\u0161kem nevypad\u00e1 \u010dasov\u011b v\u016fbec dob\u0159e. Dojezdovku mi napl\u00e1novan\u00e1 trasa ukazuje a\u017e n\u011bkdy okolo dev\u00e1t\u00e9 ve\u010der, mo\u017en\u00e1 m\u00e9n\u011b, pokud bych jen dupal do ped\u00e1l\u016f a nevn\u00edmal sv\u011bt okolo. Kdy\u017e pak tla\u010d\u00edm kolo do kopce nesj\u00edzdnou cestou plnou ko\u0159en\u016f n\u011bkde mezi Gatsemankou a horou Nad Mar\u00e1skem, vol\u00e1 mi Dag a sd\u011bluje, \u017ee to s\u00a0Honzou bal\u00ed a a\u0165 m\u011b ani nenapad\u00e1 pokra\u010dovat d\u00e1l, \u017ee pr\u00fd kles\u00e1 teplota a jakmile sjedu z\u00a0les\u016f do otev\u0159en\u00e9 krajiny, bude protiv\u00edtr a pocitov\u011b zima. To mi na n\u00e1lad\u011b zrovna nep\u0159id\u00e1v\u00e1\u2026 A\u017e pozd\u011bji se dozv\u00edd\u00e1m, \u017ee Dag hodn\u011b promrzl a do toho se mu komplet rozhodila termoregulace.<\/p>

Nakonec se rozhodnu oto\u010dit kolo zp\u011bt dom\u016f. Na m\u00edsto srazu mi v\u00a0ten okam\u017eik zb\u00fdvalo n\u011bjak\u00fdch 59 kilometr\u016f. Byl to pech a mrzelo m\u011b, \u017ee jsem nedorazil, ale nakonec jsem si uv\u011bdomil, \u017ee to, co mi napsal Bob Bikolka pozd\u011bji na Twitteru: \u201eSafety first, taky to nel\u00e1mu, kdy\u017e to nejde\u2026\u201c, je nejd\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00ed.<\/p>

Po stezce pokra\u010duji st\u00e1le rovn\u011b k\u00a0Padr\u0165sk\u00fdm rybn\u00edk\u016fm, kter\u00e9 oba m\u00edj\u00edm z\u00a0jejich lev\u00e9 strany, a pak proj\u00ed\u017ed\u00edm zanikl\u00fdmi vesnicemi Padr\u0165 a Zadn\u00ed Zab\u011bhl\u00e1. V\u00a0tomto \u00faseku dnes u\u017e taky b\u00fdval\u00e9 vojensk\u00e9 st\u0159elnice nejsou \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 lesy a j\u00e1 se tak koch\u00e1m neru\u0161en\u00fdmi, lehce zaml\u017een\u00fdmi pohledy do kraje a c\u00edt\u00edm, \u017ee podzim je u\u017e docela bl\u00edzko. Pod vrchem Ko\u010dka zase vj\u00ed\u017ed\u00edm do lesa a sedlem Ve Vr\u0161\u00edch sj\u00ed\u017ed\u00edm serpentinami na T\u0159irubeckou louku. B\u011bhem sjezdu na louku potk\u00e1v\u00e1m osam\u011bl\u00e9ho bikepackera na gravelu a po chvilce dal\u0161\u00ed na mtb. Vz\u00e1p\u011bt\u00ed pokra\u010duji do prudk\u00e9ho stoup\u00e1n\u00ed pod\u00e9l vojensk\u00e9ho prostoru a potoka Rezerva, kde potk\u00e1v\u00e1m z\u0159ejm\u011b i zbytek t\u00e9to roztrou\u0161en\u00e9 bikepackersk\u00e9 skupinky. Kam asi tak v\u0161ichni v\u00a0tomto ne\u010dase jedou?<\/p>

Od konce vojensk\u00e9ho prostoru Rezerva se st\u00e1\u010d\u00edm na v\u00fdchod a d\u00e1v\u00e1m si dal\u0161\u00ed hodn\u011b vysiluj\u00edc\u00ed t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 \u010dty\u0159kilometrov\u00fd v\u00fdjezd zn\u00e1mou silnic\u00ed Alliance a\u017e do sedla Dlouh\u00fd K\u00e1men. Ze sedla pokra\u010duji st\u00e1le po Allianci sjezdem a\u017e na jej\u00ed druh\u00fd konec p\u0159i okraji pos\u00e1dkov\u00e9ho cvi\u010di\u0161t\u011b Jince. Silni\u010dka Alliance je postaven\u00e1 v\u00a0alpsk\u00e9m stylu, m\u011b\u0159\u00ed necel\u00fdch osm kilometr\u016f a nechal ji vybudovat Jeron\u00fdm Colloredo-Mansfeld, aby propojovala jejich dv\u011b panstv\u00ed v Dob\u0159\u00ed\u0161i a Zbirohu, kter\u00fdm st\u00e1l v\u00a0cest\u011b brdsk\u00fd h\u0159eben s\u00a0vrcholy Toku a Houp\u00e1ku. Zaj\u00edmavost\u00ed je, \u017ee n\u011bkter\u00e9 \u010d\u00e1sti t\u00e9to silnice jsou st\u00e1le v\u00a0p\u016fvodn\u00edm stavu a vy si tak m\u016f\u017eete vychutnat i j\u00edzdu po p\u016fvodn\u00edch dla\u017eebn\u00edch kostk\u00e1ch s\u00a0p\u011bkn\u00fdmi v\u00fdhledy, o kter\u00e9 jsem j\u00e1 kv\u016fli de\u0161ti a mlze p\u0159i\u0161el.<\/p>
